natural wood art

This natural wood art is made of selected hardwoods, including Tiger Maple and Mahogany, cut by jigsaw, shaped and polished by random orbital and hand sanding from 60 to 2000, and finished either with mineral or Danish oil, or instead high-gloss polyurethane sprayed and then rubbed on after a couple of buffs. Some of them (the shapes, snakes and butterflies) are also painted with aniline dye, in monochrome or multicolor designs. They ranging in size from 18” x 6” up to 5′ x 3′, and — in the case of the snakes — from 22” x 1” to 48” x 2.5” wide.
